Centruoides scorpion, July 2013
This scorpion fell from the ceiling of the research center onto the cutting board where Rosa was chopping up chicken for the evening meal. It's carrying a brrod of young on its back.
The white "fluff" on the scorpion's back is likely the cast-off skin of a recently molted immature.
