Field notes from Isla Colon:
I have found this species occasionally at bait on Isla Colon. The female, which closely resembles a small Caligo atreus dionysos, comes to fermenting banana bait in the deep gloom of the rainforest interior. I once found the male of this species perched on a tree trunk close to another banana bait trap.
